In New South Wales landlords are only allowed to enter the premises at certain times for certain reason and the amount of notice you must give to the tenant depends on the reason for entering the premises. According to Fair trading NSW 'You must not 'drop by' unannounced, look over the fence or do anything else to disturb the tenant's privacy and quiet enjoyment.
